Today I golfed in a Special Olympics golf tournament. We were at Parkside 9 at Fanshawe. There were about 50 golfers. Some of the golfers were from other cities. My foursome was my boyfriend, Scott, my good friend Stephanie, and a guy I used to go to school with, Christopher. We started with a putting contest. Our team came 2nd overall in putting. One of my coaches, Carol, has been teaching me putting and I think I have learned a lot. I like putting but my favourite is driving. After putting, we played 9 holes. We played best ball. The ball that is closest to the hole is the best ball. I was having a good game, so they used a lot of my shots. After we played, we had lunch and awards. Our team got a prize for putting.
I’ll be in another Special Olympics tournament later this month. There is always a lot going on with Special Olympics. The other day I was at an event for Special Olympics at the police station. I got my picture taken with C.J. Yakimowicz of the London Knights. Tomorrow, I play soccer.
