I have also been really busy with all my sports lately.
In early May, I competed in a Rhythmic Gymnastics Provincial Qualifier. A Provincial Qualifier is a competition in Special Olympics. It is when you compete against people in your region and you are trying to qualify for the Provincial games. I have been at 3 winter Provincial games but never a summer one. If you make it to the Provincial Games and you do well, then you might get to go to the National Games, which I am doing for alpine skiing in March 2016. There is also World Games after that.
At the competition, I did level 2 Hoop and Ball and level 1 Rope and Ribbon. My favourite is the level 2 Hoop. It was a great day, even though it was super hot in the gym. We had lots of fun with our coaches. We all like to laugh a lot. It was about a 3 hour drive away so we went down the night before and stayed in a hotel. That was fun, too.
I got lots of firsts and not I wait to see if I qualified.
I also played in a basketball Provincial Qualifier later in May. It was at a high school here in London. We played in a round robin tournament and our team came first. It was great doing a team sport. My teammates all played really hard and our coaches were really proud of us. It was really hot that day, too. Now we wait to see if we made it to Provincials or not. You never know.
Now, Rhythmic Gymnastics and Basketball are done until the fall. Now that it is summer, I am playing soccer and next week I start back into golf.
